Twitter has started testing the edit feature

California: Social networking and microblogging platform Twitter has started testing an edit option for users.

Twitter confirmed the introduction of the Twitter edit button on Thursday, saying users will see some edited tweets as the company is testing its edit button.

In a blog post, the company said that the edit button feature is being tested internally and the service will be rolled out to paid subscription customers this month.

According to the blog post, people who are outside of the trial group will also be able to see these edited tweets on the platform. If a user sees this button, it means that they have also been selected for the trial.

Twitter further clarified that the feature will be rolled out after testing but users will have to pay a fee to use it.

It should be noted that Twitter said in April this year that the company has been working on the edit feature for a year and will be available for Twitter Blue subscribers in the coming months.
