Sydney: Great Australian cricketer Shane Watson included two Pakistani cricketers Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi in the top five list of World T20 made by him.
Shane Watson has said that if he is given the enviable task of selecting the World Twenty11, his top five list includes Babar Azam (Pakistan), Surya Kumar Yadav (India), David Warner (Australia), Jos Buttler (England) and Shaheen Afridi (Pakistan) will join.
Speaking on the latest episode of ICC Review, Watson was asked by host Sanjana Gunnison to pick the first five players he would like to see in the World Twenty11 in Australia.
Watson replied that he would pick Babar Azam first because he is the best batsman in T20 cricket in the whole world. He has the ability to score brilliantly against the best bowlers in the world. Babar Azam’s batting techniques are perfect for Australian pitches. Talking about Shaheen Afridi, Watson said that Afridi’s ability to take wickets is very special.
