Manhattan: At the 38th annual United American Muslim Day Parade in New York City, the atmosphere echoed with the slogan Takbir Allahu Akbar from the sky-high chants of the participants.
According to the World News Agency, Muslims from different countries participated in the annual Muslim Day parade in New York City in large numbers. Officers of the New York Police Department (NYPD) were also present at the march in goodwill.
Participants in the march, which began on Madison Avenue between East 24th and East 26th Streets in Manhattan, carried the flags of their countries in addition to the US. The most prominent were the Pakistan green crescent and the Turkish flags.
The participants of the march continued towards their destination chanting Takbir Allah Akbar. In March, models of the domes of the Kaaba and Masjid al-Aqsa were also placed on the truck. The purpose of the march was to clear up misconceptions about Muslims among other nationalities in the United States.
The participants also offered prayers on the highway while a food festival was held at the end of the march and the culture of various Muslim countries was also highlighted.
