Tehran: Iran has announced its rejection of US President Joe Biden’s support for anti-government protests.
On Sunday, state media reported that Iran had described the US support as “interference in state affairs”.
“Since the start of the recent protests in Iran, the US president has repeatedly supported the unrest in Iran through intrusive statements,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani said.
Since Biden doesn’t have trusted advisors and has a bad memory, I remind him that Iran is strong and steadfast enough to not bow to your harsh punishments and ludicrous threats.
“You are used to fishing in dirty waters, but remember, this is Iran, the land of proud men and women,” he added.
It should be noted that last week, US President Biden expressed deep concern over reports of the “crushing” of peaceful protesters in Iran and said that Washington would hold accountable Iranian officials and institutions involved in the use of violence to suppress civil society.
Biden also expressed his surprise at the mass protests.
