New Delhi: The CEO of a company in India has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for losing weight to employees who become obese during work from home.
According to Indian media, Nitin Kamath, CEO of the online brokerage company “Zerodhan” has given a fitness challenge to motivate the work-from-home employees to stay active, in which the obese employees have to burn 350 calories per day.
If any employee of the company continues to complete the daily target for the next 90 days, at the end he will be awarded a prize of INR 1 million.
Nitin Kamath, the CEO of the company, wrote on social media that the habit of sitting mostly, smoking and eating junk foods while working at home has become an epidemic, which has posed health risks to employees are.
It should be noted that in April this year, the company Zerodha announced to give a bonus equal to half a month’s salary to its employees for reducing their BMI to 25.
